so what is the purpose? i dont understand? if the images are not there then DC probably didnt want them to be used because of bug problems (guessing)

But the second one I do. When you make an nvshader sprite [or apparently image] then you can only see it when you open up night vision. If nv isn't on, then you'll see black and not the picture... apparently.
You can make more 'secret images' really simply. Just make a env_sprite and choose whatever image file you want. Then you look to the left: there should be a night-vision only checkbox under the circle with the line [for sprite rotation].

He's saying that he goes into the CS2D game, and he clicks on env_sprites or whatever, and he sees nvshader. However, if he wanted to modify this file, he goes to the GFX folder but he can't find it.
I think this is because of the Blitz programming, where you can create secret files or whatever.
