It's really an unexpected milestone huh?
To think in the beginning I only wanted to fix the distiller to distill, the old cooking pot to cook, and the grill from all 3 coming apart when you destroy only one of the 3.

It is really cool today when I go to script something how easy it has become, where in the beginning the Stranded Language was almost incomprehensible to me. It was difficult just to make a simple script..but now I write it easy as writing this post to you. I just have to figure out what I want to write first.


I think you all test the game for me...just by playing it and posting bugs and ideas here. Thank You!!

I have just finished re-working the Wooden Grill like the forge. When placing stuff on the grill it makes a better pattern from when you can put only 4 pieces of food on, till you can put 10 on. Easier to grab individual items more precisely too. I have already set up a new model where above 200 skill you can make a Iron Grill that will hold 2 more extra pieces (you will see 2 more possible free spaces with the wood grill)...totaling 12 at skill level...just need to implement it.

The bee hive is working as intended. It will be found in the one type tree (picture on page 44) although there are several of those tree "sizes"...you just have to search for it, or simply come across it by chance. After 10 days one spawns in 2 different trees (of that same type) on the island. If you mistakenly or unknowingly cut them down it simply becomes a null factor in game. After finding the tree and the hive, a new hive spawns there every 10 days as long as that tree exists and you have gotten the old hive out of the tree.

The beehive was added as a very rare findable object, it is intended that not everyone will find one every game...but it is more possible to find one then it is NOT to find one. If you look for one after 10 days you would likely find it, unless it is buried in multiple trees where more than 2-3 trees cluster themselves together when the map is generated. The last one I found I did not find until I cut the tree down next to it that was hindering my seeing it.

After 14 days the sheep still aren't spawning wool or milk and the fish attractor is still locked past 125 skill. Did you put up the wrong download?

This is after deleting my old July 4th and 5th game folders and re-extracting from the download file.

The sheep start out with 3 milk and never have anything else.


Edit: I looked at the pic of the hive tree. Didn't realize it was so far up in the tree will have to look harder. By the way how do you get it down shoot it?

yo john...do me a favor please see if this works. Move your save into a folder somewhere, then delete all other versions you have...re-download this 05 version and move your save back into the saves folder.

after downloading and deleting the others, build a dock in your save, and see if the attractor unlocks. The only way to unlock it now again is to build a dock cuz you past skill level 125 again. Then let me no if your sheep work too please.

i really think your download is bad somehow. Mediafire is known for this a little bit, somehow you can get a lost packet during download..

and yes your sling shot can reach the hive, or bow...like knockin a banana out of a tree.

old Fish Attactor patch

wow...sorry about all this man...turns out I did something wrong when I added the fish attractor. Like i did not save the file after I added it or something...cuz my files do not have the script to unlock the attractor anywhere. Very sorry I don't know what happened.

anyways...here, drop BOTH these 2 files in the /sys folder and your good to go! I actually made a change the attractor unlocks at skill 200 now anyways, or after building a dock.

Also, will you be making prospecting a little easier? Maybe just a higher chance with the steel shovel?

edit 2: I'm not getting the option to prospect for crystal though.

on the previous page I explained I missed adding the crystal and the clay to the command list when using the shovel. It is there however, when you prospect for stone/iron it says PROGRESS BAR "prospecting for stone, clay or iron" and when prospecting for coal/gold it says PROGRESS BAR "prospecting for gold, crystal, or coal".

something like that...so you can find it, I have already fixed the steel shovel's texts for the next update.

2Edit: Never mind extracted it wrong this time I finally have a fish attractor will go check the sheep now.

A couple suggestions.

We need a way to build a second/additional section of dock without having to get in the water with he sharks. Maybe make the construction site larger? I've noticed the construction sites are small for the larger buildings and big for a few small ones too maybe make 2-3 sizes.

I would love to have a dock house, maybe the wooden house with dock/walkway all the way around it. Would be nice to have a small storage shed and grill on one side too. Would obviously be a big project.

Maybe a large fish habitat (a grid of 9 of the present ones?) to go with it that keeps the fish from getting scared away or they come right back in a few minutes.

I have learned how to use the current fish habitat just make several about 10-12 yards/meters apart and move around. works especially well if you have a peninsula or mini island to put them on. But that wont work to keep them in one spot.

There seems to be an issue with the coop. I have 2 roosters and 1 hen. I placed 6 or 7 grain, could have been as high as 10, into the coop. I planted wheat the same day, and waited till my wheat was big enough to harvest 2 grain apiece from, and by then, they were almost out.

However, then I put 25 grain into the coop (plus what little was left over), and I'm down to 7 at the end of the second day. Also I'm not getting any new chickens. I haven't harvested any eggs.

If you use nails or even put them in storage you get smithing experience. Probably other things too haven't checked.

Edit the sheep seem to be working now. Also its anything metal, you get experience putting it in storage or using it if you put nails, iron bars etc... in storage one at a time you get experience for each.

I have patch up some old stuff in my own version, but i think yours work greater.

One day very soon I will be done with this mod...then you guys can take it and do anything you wish to it, because I will be moving on. IF you can "compile" check my request in the GENERAL section, that would help me if you can re-compile the mod using Blitz making the small map a bit larger...let me know.

So, back on track then...

I found my forging skill going up for no apparent reason and discovered it was from trading with the pirate. I see from littlejohn's post that you can also get skill ups from putting down or using nails. I think your script that checks for picking up items from the anvil may be giving skill ups for forged items that enter/leave inventory from anywhere. Strangely, however, I do not get any forging skill for iron hooks. Thanks.
