Offlinecs2d.com had been went down! And USGN was on the Server of cs2d.com! Now USGN ist on US and cs2d.com is still offline! There is no solution to that problem!

SOLUTION!
GastThe U.S.G.N. does only one thing: sharing server IPs so that you don't have to know the ip of a server to join it. When you experience lags you can't blame the U.S.G.N. The U.S.G.N. does nothing while you're playing on a server. NOTHING. So you can't blame it for lags in the game.
Conclusion: lags and bad pings are caused by bad connections of the server or the client but not by the U.S.G.N. (and remember that all servers are just hosted by players!)
Considering that the only thing the U.S.G.N. does is sharing server ips we come to the assumption that it is not required to play at all. And - oh wow! - thats a fact! You COULD play completely without the U.S.G.N. but you would have to share the IPs yourself (forums, chats) and use the "Join by IP"-button in CS2D. Unfortunately the average cs2d player is just to dumb to do this. He prefers to start flaming at the forum of the developer of the game (who [=me] btw did not get anything for developing and supporting the game - besides fucking complaints like this one). Yeah.. erm... Thanks. Nice idea... really.... nice.
However - back to the problem: the U.S.G.N. previously hosted by csbanana/fpsbanana at cs2d.com doesn't exist anymore because they stopped hosting it. In order to keep it online I established a new U.S.G.N. at my webspace and it works so far. The problem is, that you have to apply a patch to cs2d so that it works for you.
You can get this patch at www.cs2d.unrealsoftware.de - and of course thats another problem: You first have to find this patch. There is no way for me to inform all cs2d players about that since cs2d.com is down.
2 ways how you could help:
1. Spread the news that people have to apply the patch they can get at www.cs2d.unrealsoftware.de
or
2. Buy cs2d.com + fast webspace with php support and I'll be able to host the U.S.G.N. there

And I'm not going to make cs2d your property just for hosting it. That would be a quite bad deal for me considering how much time and work it took me to write the game.
