0-80 PING - Aim your Crosshairs at the player DIRECTLY. It is late, but most of the time it will still hit the enemy.

120-200 PING - Semi-Average ping, your aiming should not be direct but very close to the enemy player's direction

240-280 PING - Shoot at just about 1/2 or more a bit more in the enemy's direction.

300-380 PING -Your movement is 1 and a half or 2 TILES SLOWER then others. Predict where's the enemy going to move, SHOOT 1 and a half or 2 + Tiles AWAY from them.

500 PING + - if you have 400 PING to 500 ping, the enemy (With 200 Ping or Below) Will be 2 Steps ahead of you. Shoot before you walk to a open space for greater chances of survival).

Only 1 example, too lazy to work on the rest. People could contribute if they could.

Does this actually work? Do you have any screen shots off a player who has played with over 200/300 latency?

Latency has written
31:0? for construction? this is no good... nobody can play 200 ping. let alone 300+

That isn't entirely true. Ever since the release off CS:2D max, and the major latency difference, I thought, there was no way, I'm gonna stay competitive. Not with my Latency/ Server-list:

But I was a CS:2D addict back then, and i wasn't gonna give up that easy. So basically I've been playing with over 200 latency, since the release. And, I'm getting better each day.

Here's a few in-game screenshots:

You could do the maths.
Players move at 50 pixels per second.
In one second there are 1000 miliseconds
Our formula then will be
1
latency*0.05
(0.05 is 50/1000)
So
100: 5 pixels
200: 10 pixels
300: 15 pixels
And so on.
But there is a problem, your player's position and rotation is also affected by latency/lag.

yes, that's true. it's a good idea to predict movement and to shoot not directly at the player if you have a bad ping.

this obviously works because of the delays caused by high pings. some games attempt to predict movements so you don't have to do this but CS2D doesn't do any movement prediction. the server always sends the current game state (player positions etc). this state is a bit outdated when you receive it because it takes about ping/2 milliseconds until it arrives at your system.

you don't really have to care about that if your ping is about 100 or lower (which should be the "normal" case). I wouldn't recommend to play with a higher ping anyway. Only do that if there is absolutely no server with a better ping available.

that's also why players who are hosting a server on their own PC always have an unfair advantage. they have a ping of 0 and therefore they always see the real current game state without any delays.

One thing that I don't understand about the calculation is that there's 0-80, 120-200, 240-280 ping.
But if i have 110 ping ?? or 220 ping ?? what should i do?
