You need to destroy some Shadow orbs, if you destroy 3 of them you will summon eater of worlds.
A easy way to get Goblin army (and the blood moon) to spawn is holding a water candle,wich can be found in the dungeon.

You just need a weapon with both great firing speed and great damage, like Star Cannon that shoots fallen stars - it's perfect, and Sunfury is good as a 'melee' weapon to fight it in close combat. You basically need good guns and good armor.

The best option to kill Skeletron, is to have some ranged weapon, like Minishark, and alot of bullets for it + melee weapon, for example: Phaseblade, Blade of Grass, Fiery Greatsword, Sunfury etc. And you could also have at least Shadowscale Armor, the best would be Jungle Armor, which with combination of some melee weapon (Phaseblade), and for example... Space Gun, can make ass-breakin' combo for Skeletron.

World viewer is not cheating, it justs prints a map of your terraria world. Cheating/hacking would be using an inventory editor for having whatever you want, griefing... or increasing your life in someway.
Water candle is a candle, and when you have it in hand, monster spawn rate increases around you
