Is it possible to create a voice chat script with lua? I'm curious...
Thanks for "fixing" my thread DC: edited 1×, last 14.04.17 08:06:45 pm

"Is it possible..." is a very bad title. not saying ANYTHING about the content. Fixed. Also: wrong section. Moved. /DC SQ Moderator Offline
You really don't know what lua in CS2D is. Don't you?
No you cannot do that. No I don't know neither I am forced to know.
Why can't I do that by the way? Because there is no hook to receive voice from the players.
For example:
addhook("say","myFirstHook")
That will get all text the players type, there is none for actual voice. the real question is why is this in Off Topic and not in Lua script section? xsiN has written

Yet by asking a Lua related question it is out of your best interest to know. Stop being so fucking ignorant. SQ Moderator Offline
I've wrote microphone support for multiplayer in BMax, but that's unnecessary feature in CS2D @ SQ: I want to hear kids screaming to microphone . Anyway we can make mute command for that, so this feature is really good. I vote to add it in next release. Why don't you add it on the upcoming release? It might fit well on the game. edited 1×, last 15.04.17 01:46:39 am
mute all by default then.. Peoples you want to hear would be able to say something to you only when it's enabled for them(and also allow/disallow to hear your voice to certain players(also off by default)).
But i'd vote no if there is feature like that would be suggested. Thanks for answering my question guys. DC Admin Offline

We don't do this because:
big effort
we already added a lot of new stuff which still needs work
it would consume a lot of traffic, potentially leading to lags and other problems
+ to save time of muting all shitty voices which come from retarded brains
