I'm wondering... will it be possible to implement steam VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) into cs2d if it gets Greenlight? If yes, will a VAC ban result into a USGN Game ban? Or will they (VAC and the USGN system) have no association/relation what-so-ever?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure that the only possible way to have something steam-related is just the steam api for login/friends, but if that happens user DC is going to have to make a way to ban steam accounts via the forum.

@user leomaciel: Legal issues. You can get one by backup old main screen image and replace the new one.

P:S:If you ever played original cs1.6,you know that main screen image are own by Valve. To avoid that, they decided to remove it permanently.I hope you understand what "copyright" are.

@user lucas13:If you like the previous version, don't ever update.I hope you understand.

The new CS2D setup gets blocked by Windows SmartScreen (Windows 10) claiming it's a unwanted program. Here's the screenshot if you're unsure.

Furthermore the Recently Joined window is filled with several servers. It shouldn't be like that.

• Oh and a side note: I just forgot to replace the "Counter-Strike 2D" string in the update window. I changed it. Hopefully you'll take file cs2d Italian Translation for CS2D again into consideration. Sorry about that.

@user leomaciel: For the reasons already explained AND because that splash did not have a 16:9 resolution.

@user GeoB99: Did that installer problem occur before? I used Inno setup for this setup and also for all the setups of previous versions. Weird...

Any occurrences of "Counter-Strike 2D" in translation files are not relevant, it will be replaced automatically with "CS2D" when loading the language.

@user xsiN: I might evaluate the possibility to have something like "VAC"/"Steam"-servers where only people with a valid Steam account can join. This is just an idea though. Didn't do any research.
This would be just an addition. The existing U.S.G.N. system would not be affected by this.

I did a double-check on previous installers. Everything seems fine, didn't get any SmartScreen pop up issue.

As per the Google information, SmartScreen sends several data about applications you download and stores them in Microsoft's servers. If that application is enough popular and legitimate, SmartScreen will let you download the application. If not, the SmartScreen window pops up.

Interesting... Might be related to the renaming then as well. Because I renamed the app but kept the same unique installer ID. Not sure if I should generate a new ID instead

mp_recoil 1
equip 1 glock
equip 1 awp
setweapon 1 awp
setweapon 1 glock

^that's how would it looks like in console.
And really:
Equip yourself glock and any other weapon and set recoil to 1.
Switch to burst mode ur glock and after attack insanely switch to any other weapon(for example awp). It looks weird, no damage would be applied to others from weapon in lastinv. Strange thing..
There also more bugs in the:

I was rather sceptical about the changes coming to cs2d with the update, especially with the dynamic resolution and the 3D stuff; but I just tired it and it absolutely blew my mind - this is without doubt the best update for cs2d ever.
(And Steam Greenlight definitely needs a video with the 3D effects!)

I tried too much resolutions but none is comfortable..
The whole image looks much smaller due to borders..
I can't play and be happy that with 4:3 monitor. Thanks.

I might add clientside option for 640*480 resolution like in old CS2D, however you would have disadvantage against 16:9 screen players.

The problem is that there always would be good for ones and bad for others:
1-st) I have 4:3, if you leave old res. - me and some 4:3 would happy(obviously), but 16:9 not.. they would play with borders as in old times.
2-nd) Somebody have 16:9 and for them the new update looks better, except lua fixes. But i can't play with this res. due to my monitor.

There everywhere peoples with different monitor resolutions, and there's no possible way to make both feel good from updates. Until we all buy new monitors which is 16:9. But for example i have no money to buy one.

The only way is to have two different clients - one with new and one with old resolution and servers where checking your client. If it's 4:3 you won't be able to join etc. Anyway there is nothing to do. Nobody give a f.. mind about that. All replies and questions are senseless. Always the choice on side where the wave are biggest. Like we choose our president, but 5% who voted no should "eat" that. Same here.

Anyway i like how the game looks in it's new style, 3D walls, Effects, Mechanics, options etc.. Except resolutions.
If i'll have chance to buy new monitor, i'll return back to cs2d.

You totally ignored my response. I said I will make a checkbox to set 640*480 resolution ratio. Really I'm annoyed a bit by that people really skip through what I say and continue whatever they were complaining about.

I get you, but look again your post:
"however you would have disadvantage against 16:9 screen players."
I won't be able to see somebody in some tiles, how nice? Or something another? What then?
And also hudtxts and images positions.
