I'm not really baited, I know that both sides aren't perfect, but Israel seems to be even more pathetic. Neither side actually gave a sh*t about UN.

I find this similar in general to the idea that humans are naturally evil (they aren't). As regarding something as pathetic is merely an opinion, it cannot be a natural trait.

You see it as a test of morals. I see it as a test of reaction time and strength of one's sense of self-preservation. Self-defense is important. In the event of this happening, it is in everyone's best interest that the aggressor gets shot first, because they have a higher chance of repeating their actions. There are many cases where it is morally the right thing to do to kill someone, but nobody wants to have to do it (except for the fringe crazies). Ultra-pacifist moral stances like this one are naive because they fail to account for what people would do if they had no consequences, or if lethal means are the only means of ending violence.
