Ello guys I have an idea for a possible post ww2 mod im thinking about & I was wondering if its possible via lua.

To start one of the weapons will be a German stg 44 assault rifle with scope for the AUG.

Now some versions of the stg 44 were equiped with a primative night vission scope called Vapir by the Germans. here are some refference pics.

stg. 44 basic configuration

I want to make is so that when a player uses the AUG he is automaticaly equiped with the night vision which will be reskined to be the stg's vampir scope/backpack.

The night vission is only activated when the player uses the AUGs scope IE both the AUGs scope & night vission is activated with the right mouse button or secondary fire.

Also when the player drops the AUG the night vision de equips from the players invantory.

I just want to know if this is possible via lua.

Sorry, but no, it's not possible.
Equipping and stripping the nightvision among other items caused erroneus behaviour.
So he made it impossible to equip it through the equip command:

yeah it's not possible. even if you would be able to equip it: there is also no Lua command to turn it on or off because this is a thing which is controlled by the client only.
