Hello,

Around 24 hours ago I decided to recreate the Garry's Mod game mode called Prophunt. Right now a server is online up for testing by the community here, to see if I should make any changes before I add things like ranks, money etc.

The script at the moment has everything the prophunt gamemode on Garry's Mod has to offer. You miss-fire, you lose HP. You have grenades as a hunter and as a prop you change into an image by standing ontop of it and pressing E.

Just tested it, it's fun.
still needs some improvements though, keep working on it.
Also one more thing, knf should do no dmg at all, because new players dont realize that swinging knf damages them (which will end the round in 5 secs).

New players will eventually get used to it. I'll reduce the damage taken and add a warning message to new players later on. Thanks.

Havent tested it yet (i'll do it later) but it sounds like a nice idea. I will leave a suggestion after i played it.

• Update:
· The gamemode has been changed to standard, to fix issues with my old custom endound.
· The startround flash has been updated for hunters, works a lot better now.
· The prop cooldown for props has been changed to 30.
· Grenades have been added, 1 per round.

You can also use !comment [text] in-game if you are too lazy to post here.

Many thanks to Tempo, he is going to create maps for the server. Once maps have been made I will add a map voting script.

Just played the gamemode. Well, I don't know about this but it kinda not fun. There are something eh. I was always selected as Hunter even the server have 3 or more players. Also when hit something wisely it hurts me, lose 10 health. What's that all about? Is it the part of the real Prophunt gamemode in Garry's Mod? Or you just add new extras to make it more fun? If you're just add new extras, do your to-do list because it kinda disturbing "for me".

In the Garry's Mod when you hit something thats not a prop (if no player is in it) you lose health, this prevents hunters from winning by just shooting everything.

It's not possible that this removes health. Either you missed or the player you shot was not a prop.

The server is in alpha stage, I'm working hard to fix the team changing and making sure it is balanced. Please note that the whole idea of making this game-mode and starting a server in 24 hours was a challenge, so of course it has bugs.

@user Elfing: There are around 5 props on every screen. Every image you see placed on the map is a possible prop, around 90% of all images are props. Blood, bones and that sort of thing are not because Prophunt in Garry's Mod does not allow it either. If more people agree with you I can simply add props by placing an image on the map, so no one can think I am lazy.

@user _Yank: Friendly competition is never bad

· Hopefully fixed the freeimage bug, many thanks to Factis.
· The "Smaller amount of HP depending on object size." has been added.

There will be more maps soon! By the way, if any scripter has ever made an automatic team switcher with standard mode. Please send it via PM.

Oh and you know in Garry's Mod smaller props are faster, will you ever add that feature?

And bigger props have bigger health while smaller ones have have smaller.

@user Elfing: I have added exactly that, I forgot to note the speed change as well when I posted. But it all resembles Garry's Mod Prophunt.

• Edit:

After a short period of time (week or two whatever) I have fixed/added the following. By the way: The password has been removed from the server.
· Prop/Hunter shop.
· Ranks, based on kills and survival (EXP).
· Stamina
· Freeimage bug has FINALLY been fixed.
· Map voting system (Still in need for maps, hopefully now I removed the password people will play and gain interest).
· Team changing on round end, this is a little weird how it all happens and looks. But it works perfectly fine. I had no other work-around.

> Cool shop items:
· Props have "Fake prop", this spawns an image the same as their own to trick hunters while you as prop are being chased.
· Hunters have "Prop tracker", this is a signal which sets off each second and will return a sound only to you if a prop is near by. This only lasts 10 seconds though.

I don't know if this server is still available, but I get a timeout when I join to the above written IP, neither am I able to find it in the serverlist.

didint enjoy it at all a hunter need to spawm with a lot of HP but i always spawm with.. hmm.. 10HP! oh and i get 10 HP when im... HUNTER!! -.- and i shoot at a prop and i died how wonderful is that? and if you think that a bad luck think agian cause i always get the hunter HOW WONDERFUL SERVER IS THAT? RIGHT?

How about you not attack every wall (Which decreases health) and try to spam the console by dying. This server was not meant for stupid people to enjoy anyway.

It's just like Garry's Mod, w00t!

You try and join prop and then everyone (including you) changes team on round end so you become a Hunter! It's absolutely beautiful and I don't care because the game was not made for idiots (;D)

It's awesome,i played on the server,though i feel like you should add more props : wheels,trash cans,newspaper,scissors,books,paintings,xbox/playstation/nintendo(or any console),stereo etc.
