The following tutorial will show how to make a DLL using BlitzMax.

Requirements

BlitzMax version 1.36 or higher and Windows XP or higher as well as a copy of makedll's source code are required.

The simple way

The makedll program is used to compile a .bmx source code and generate a DLL output file. 'EXPORT must be written after each function as a sign that this function is to be exported to the DLL's functions.

Troubles arising during compiling may be solved through the following script that can be added to the existing program.
Function DllMain(hinstDLL:Byte Ptr,fdwReason:Int,lpvReserved:Byte Ptr) "win32"
