Try OpenGL, directX with windowed mode (use the launcher).
update your system (windows)
Well, I checked my DX version by clicking the start menu and then I Run -> dxdiag. It says I am using DirectX version 9.0c, CS2D runs fine for me.

when i go to sys->config.cfg
and there is:

but mine is like, i play for half an hour then i get an error that says "memory_acess_violation" and then it closes cs2d window. And then i have to wait half hour again to play or it says the same error every 3 minutes. and i really need help
