Hi UnrealSoftware *-* .. I finally got a time to return to CS2D, But I'm having a problem in extremely disturbing in-game, the famous [DC] (its nod DC Admin, its DC - Disconnect), how to better explain?... letsgo, many know that the lag is a problem of weak internet, but in my case, I have an internet 10mb, and also how many know the lag, your ping is variously 150-200, but in my case, my ping jumps from 15 to 15000 usually 10 to 10 seconds, generating errors as weapons not reloading, say not appearing on the screen, back to base mysteriously teleported..... emembering that difficult to connect up to the servers, they are all with green bars also how to load menus, join teams, and buy weapons

then I got to the conclusion that and a problem with the connection in CS2D, That's right, just in CS2D.. while surfing the internet, downloading files, loading videos, everthing is perfect, so please help-me, or else I'll just have to stop playing and occupy my free time with something else, thank for the helps

A "ping" is a message which is sent from one pc to another one and back to check whether the remote pc is online and reachable. It is measured in milliseconds the message needed for its journey (1 sec=1000 millisecs).
you live in Brazil right? the server your'e playing on might
be set on another country/place which means the farther
the server is based,the longer it takes to send their server a message. so either:

play on another server

live on another country (Lol joke)

try knowing where the server is based first and try that one.

It must be a problem with your connection (or the connection of the server you are playing on) because thousands of people can play CS2D just fine without these problems.

Maybe there are background processes running on your PC which cause internet traffic and ruin your ping in CS2D. Or your ISP somehow limits UDP traffic or you are simply playing on servers which are too far away from your location.

• Close all programs and processes you don't need
• Try other servers

You have 0 knowledge about internet, get out.
U.S.G.N has nothing to do with ingame ping.

No user Ahmad. It's technically impossible that the U.S.G.N. affects your ping. The U.S.G.N. clearly does NOT affect the gameplay or in-game ping in any way! You can even continue playing normally when the U.S.G.N. goes offline while playing.

The only connection that matters is your connection to the server. The connection between you and the U.S.G.N. or the connection between the server and the U.S.G.N. totally doesn't matter while playing. It only matters for login and the serverlist. That's it.

U.S.G.N can't affect your game, because cs2d isn't connected to it. CS2D is UDP based, which doesn't connect, but it only sends message.

This is how it works:
You are trying to connect to cs2d server: you send packet to auth to u.s.g.n.
Then server is checking the auth.
When you leave server is sending packet to u.s.g.n that you aren't playing anymore.

Also when server is starting it's sending packet to u.s.g.n to add to serverlist, then it's updating info about it every minute by sending packet to u.s.g.n. If that info won't be sent then server will be removed from serverlist.

Ping <120ms and jitter <20ms are (relatively) enough to play

But sometimes while playing, the game freezes and when I disconnect I find that usgn is on the yellow state although internet still working, and I can't connect to servers until I reinsert my usgn or play without usgn (stuck on verifying usgn). What causes this?

Its most likely your internet if other people have stable pings.
I've had 1mbps internet before but still have 50-60 ping.

Internet speed is not related to ping but rather how the ISP transfers and handles packets.

The required bandwidth as client in CS2D is quite low, you probably won't have problems with this unless you are still using a slow dial-up modem. You can run into trouble when hosting a server though because most internet connections have a very limited upload bandwidth (but a much higher download bandwidth in relation to that).

The ping depends on the type of your connection and geographical distance to the server. The infrastructure of the entire internet between you and the server is also important. Moreover your ping will get worse when you reach the bandwidth limit of your connection because packets must be queued in that case. This shouldn't happen in normal scenarios but it's possible. It leads to lags and disconnects in worst case. Note that the queuing can happen at any spot in the network. At any routing point between you and the server even if you are far away from using all your bandwidth. Maybe there is a point in the network which is overloaded because it handles lots of connections and not just yours. Connections to servers which are close to you with less routing points between you and the server are always better.

@user Ahmad: I can't tell you why the game crashes on your system but the crash is not related to the U.S.G.N.! That you can't login again instantly after the crash might be caused by connection/socket problems or timeout delays (the socket is probably not properly closed when the game crashes).

The game does not crash when the U.S.G.N. goes down while playing and you can see that the U.S.G.N. isn't down at all in your scenario because it works again when you insert your login data again. That you can't use the U.S.G.N. after a crash is just an effect of the crash.

Even if you can download a 2gb file in a few minutes, that doesn't guarantee less ping or jumps in the server.

Brazil servers are very poor quality, my gameplay experience there is much worse with 200 ping than 360 ping in Australian.
Judging from that, it's probably that topic hoster's internet can not establish a stable connection to different continents.
